Shocking: a 14 year old kid opens fire on his classmates and teachers in Georgia. Where could a child learn justification for such violence: Ukraine, Gaza, the death penalty? If violence is justified when wrapped in a flag, then why not elsewise?
For his alleged crime, the child will reportedly be tried as an adult, by the same “adult” world which shaped his consciousness by selling him violent video games, violent entertainment, war, and genocide. Nonetheless, they will convict him of this crime while neglecting their own responsibility for this horrendous act.
The wrong entity is going to trial. This is not a statement directed against any particular class. This is a statement against the ideological assumption that violence is a justified path–a belief which seems to be well-distributed among different economic classes, political classes, job titles and so forth.
This is a charge against the purveyors of violence, for which this child, and the shooting victims, will pay, and have paid, a heavy price.
